Booking & Payment
A deposit equivalent to the cost of one night’s stay for each room booked is required to secure reservation. For bookings of more than one week, the deposit will be the cost of two night’s stay for each room booked.
The deposit payment can be made by cash, cheque or credit card – please make cheques payable to ‘Strete Barton’. Settlement of the final invoice can be made by cash, cheque or credit / debit card. Please note an additional 3% is added if payment is made by American Express.
In the event of a cancellation less than two weeks prior to arrival, a minimum amount equivalent to the first night’s accommodation for each room booked will be charged (two nights will be charged for bookings of more than one week), unless we are able to re-book the room. If you cancel your booking, or part of your booking, within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in time of 5.00pm on the planned date of arrival, a charge equivalent to the total booking price that includes any supplements will be levied and no refund will be made. This charge will be applied to the credit/debit card initially used to settle the deposit.
We strongly suggest taking out holiday insurance tocover deposits/payments. There are many insurance companies that offer this service; for example: www.insureandgo.com/travel_insurance_uk.htm telephone 0844 888 2787
Access to the room(s) is after 4.00pm on the day of arrival, and the room(s) should be vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure. Should you expect to arrive later than 6.00pm, please call us in advance on 01803 770364.
Strete Barton House is a non-smoking establishment.
Children over the age of eight are welcome, but must be well behaved and under control of their parents.
Regretfully, Strete Barton House is inappropriate for persons with severe mobility disabilities, due to the steps on access.
Pets are welcome, but can only be accommodated in the ‘Cottage Suite’, and will not be allowed in the Main House. A charge of £7 per pet per night will be made. If you wish to bring your pet please call us to make the booking.
We reserve the right to cancel a booking without liability on our part in the event of damage or destruction to Strete Barton House by fire or other causes, any shortages of labour or food supplies, or any other cause beyond our control.
